drew When I'm feeling a little drag-ass (which, let's be honest, is not-infrequently in these times), I like to put a little Fewer Notes into my playlist. This album in particular always gives me a little lift and helps me get through my day. What more can one ask of a musical friend?

about

With the occurrence of 2-22-2022, I thought I should release an album; since while unemployed (and uninsured, unmedicated, etc.), I have accumulated over a hundred demos on my laptop, so it should, in theory, have been a relatively low effort undertaking on my part to slap something together. Turns out though that an awful lot of the demos on my laptop are gloomy and dour, and also fail to make what I would consider a full statement (mark it up to being unemployed, uninsured, and unmedicated). These songs here, though, were the twenty I felt were the least objectionable. The best of the bunch? Hard to say—I admit I'm not the most objective judge of my music. Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this album. The album title is a nod to a list (simply titled "Gentle Dads") I saw on Rate Your Music, as well as an acknowledgment that the five biggest fans of my music (that I'm aware of) are gentle dads. So here's to you, gentle dads.

about

Fewer Notes New York, New York

I make music that I want to listen to myself, and that helps me mentally stay afloat. Some people that are not me have been known to like it too. If you turn out to be one of them, then that's cool beans. ♡
