brad_neaton Has a very zen-like vibe to it that really does remind me of cityscapes at dusk. Also sounds exactly like something you'd find in a "chill study beats"-type of playlist on Spotify. Favorite track: Floating Dust in Sunbeams.

drew I think this one is all about varied timbres and textures played against not-boring beats. What stands out through repeated listening, though, is that beauty is never lost here. Whatever else is going on, there's always a little delight for your ears somewhere in the mix. Favorite track: Gradual Revelations.
World of Echo

World of Echo Out of everything I ever recorded, this was the one where I said to myself while making it, "Don't jazz. Don't jazz. Don't jazz. You're not good at it and you're not playing to your strengths when you let jazz slip into your music. Emphasize the not-jazz!" Hey, I think I pulled it off! I should try to do that again, perhaps, even if I've basically embraced my jazzy tendencies since (for better or worse ¯\__(ツ)__/¯ ). Favorite track: Waves.

about

My partner and I were visiting my parents, and while we ate our cauliflower tacos, my dad was playing this album in the background. I asked him if he liked it, and he said it was my best yet, and it was “very listenable.” Then my mom was like, “I like it a lot more than the downtempo streaming radio off of Pandora that your dad plays.” (Before my dad or mom said anything, I had asked my partner if they could recognize the music, and they were like, “This is you,” and I was hoping they could articulate how they could identify it was mine by noticing traits like, say, how I like to play behind the beat, or the note choice in my melodies, or the tell-tale signs in my solos, etc. But they matter-of-factly said, “I could just tell.”)

about

Fewer Notes New York, New York

I make music that I want to listen to myself, and that helps me mentally stay afloat. Some people that are not me have been known to like it too. If you turn out to be one of them, then that's cool beans. ♡
