The effect is it feels less reactive and more confidently assertive - more about drumming than beats; clearly more interested in interplay between melody and harmony than just leads and pads. While still evoking the nostalgia, curiosity, and wonder that’s always been at the heart of the Fewer Notes vibe, Quirked Up seems animated by a desire to not just observe, but to make a statement.

World of Echo I think this is the best album I have made so far. I hope to beat it, because I'm always trying to improve and push myself. But for now, this is still the best, imho. =) Favorite track: Good Night, Sleep Tight.

While my former album underscored (and was a tribute to) the majority of fans that I'm aware of re: my music—this album circles back to the fact that I am making music with myself as the primary audience. But of course, that being said, heck yeah, I love it when anybody (be they gentle dad, tacky bisexual, an amalgamate, or none of the above) like my music, beyond just me. My music is odd (like me), and it's tailored to what I want to hear (and don't). It's an expression of who I am, and hence, whenever anyone who isn't me likes it—well, that's supremely validating and it makes me exceptionally happy.
