drew Another enjoyable exploration of the neighborhood around the intersection of jazz & electronic. This outing goes a little further afield with the growing confidence of a long-time resident. I'm happy to come along for the ride. Favorite track: Bokeh.

sarah_russo Love the atmosphere of this one so much. My new go-to study track. Favorite track: I Always Vibe with the Rain.

World of Echo There's bright spots but a lot of it makes me cringe. I like that I got a Roland Juno-60 plug-in and I was like, "Finally. I have been craving these warm analog synth tones that I have loved from Gigi Masin and so forth. It's all coming together..." (and then it doesn't come together, lol). Favorite track: Between the Notes.

about

So I had some health issues after the last album, and once I was finally well enough to do music again, I made these songs. Consequentially, perhaps, with too much gusto—after I was done and listened back to this batch, I thought surely there was too much going on in these songs, too many solos, too much noodling, too much activity and excess (I think my music is better when I practice more restraint—hey, it’s one of the reasons I changed my moniker to Fewer Notes, to remind myself to rein it in). I mean, I should definitely dial it back by next album. I'd like the next album to be something you could put on while playing Animal Crossing. We'll see what I make, though, I guess.

about

Fewer Notes New York, New York

I make music that I want to listen to myself, and that helps me mentally stay afloat. Some people that are not me have been known to like it too. If you turn out to be one of them, then that's cool beans. ♡
